Truman Doctrine
The Truman Doctrine was a policy enforced by President Truman, that would support Greece and Turkey with military and economic aid to prevent them from falling into a Soviet sphere.
This is looked upon as the start of the Cold War.
Truman said that the goal of the Doctrine was to be, ”the policy of the US to support free people who are resisting attempted sub junction by armed minorities or outside pressures.”
